Our local Costco has started stocking pistachio gelato. I’m pretty sure that it is a permanent item because I’ve seen it in the warehouse for a few weeks now. The first time I saw it, I bought two containers because I wasn’t sure if it would be there the following week. Some items, like the much beloved pog, I’ve only seen once in the warehouse.
Anyways, the gelato comes from Italy, and sells for $9.99 per 2.2 lbs container.
The pistachio gelato is absolutely delicious, if you like pistachios. Costco also carries a lemon sorbet and mango sorbet by Michielan as well. However, without the cream (and accompanying calories), the sorbet just lacks the indulgence that gelato offers.
I was purchasing this gelato at Costco for several months but it appears that Costco no longer carries it. I’ve been looking for it every time I go to Costco (which is frequent because we live very close by) but Costco no longer has it in their freezer department. Can you tell me if this is only a temporary situation or if Costco has discontinued this item permanently? If it is permanent, where else can I purchase this product. I go to the Costco on Route 70 in Brick, NJ. Is it possible that another Costco has it in their store? If so, which location? Thank you so much!

I just purchased this at the Staten Island Costco and it’s amazing. There’s plenty in stock.
I love this product also but they only carried it for about 1 month at the new North Plainfield NJ store…no others had it.
I did buy the dark chocolate gelato by the same company at the union store for $3.99.. for the same size as the pistashio..very good but I want the pistashio back…but was wondering ..why the 6 dollar price difference
I was just at Costco in Staten Island yesterday and they informed me he was discontinued, now if you let me know when you are shipping the next batch, I will be there when the doors open. I have told many friends about it and am suppose to bring four of them for ladies day so please if you can help. If you can provide another distributor it would be greatly appreciated.
